Istvan Dioszegi

Clinical Intern | Marriage and Family Therapy

I’m a trauma-informed therapist passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families heal and reconnect. I moved to Arizona from Romania in 2012 after a career in Olympic weightlifting and serving in the Romanian Intelligence Service. My own healing journey—through faith, sports psychology, and trauma work—inspires the work I do today.

I earned my Marriage and Family Therapy MS degree from Fuller Theological Seminary and am trained in EMDR, IFS, AEDP, KAP, and attachment-based methods like the Gottman Method and EFT. I specialize in helping clients navigate anxiety, shame, emotional regulation, and trauma rooted in childhood or faith backgrounds. My goal is to create a safe space where lasting change and connection are possible

I work with individuals, couples, and families facing intimacy challenges, unresolved guilt or shame—often rooted in upbringing or faith—and early childhood trauma such as abuse, neglect, or abandonment. Clients often struggle with anxiety, depression, grief, emotional regulation, anger, stress, or low self-esteem. I believe healing is always possible—for you and those who matte to you most.
